Learn about the women we serve, and how you can help!
Our amazing staff, regular part-time volunteers, and board members are committed to help empower the women who come to our home. We provide our residents opportunities to acquire the tools to become stronger and more self-sufficient: so that when they leave our home, they have a plan for achieving their goals and can provide a brighter future for their children.

Bishop Gallegos Maternity home is a 501c3 non-profit, non-denominational home and has been a safe haven for the most vulnerable members in the Sacramento area since 1992. Bishop Francis Quinn approached three women from "Catholics for Life" about the need to provide pregnant women in need of shelter, food, safety, comfort and support during their pregnancy and for a short time afterward in Sacramento. Our homes were acquired with the help of Msgr. Edward Kavanagh. Our life-affirming ministry has helped nearly 2,000 women and babies since our inception.
Answering the call of Sacramento’s homeless pregnant women and their infants in providing the fundamental human needs of food, clothing, shelter and emotional support; while respecting each individuals’ personal journey and preserving their dignity in recognition of our common humanity.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
